Straight answers, including the awkward ones.

If something you want to know isn't here, ask us. We'd rather answer it now than have it come up after you've signed.

Do I own my website?

You own your domain name and all your content — your text, your photos, your logo, and any enquiries or bookings that come through the site. Those are yours and always will be.

The design and build itself is part of your subscription, along with the hosting, in the same way a leased van is part of a lease rather than something you own outright. If you leave, we release your domain to you and hand over your content.

We put this first because it's the question people are most often too polite to ask.

What if I want to cancel?

Give us 30 days' notice and that's that. No exit fee, no argument, no being passed around. Your domain and content come with you.

We'd ask what went wrong first, because if it's something we can fix we'd rather fix it than lose you.

Is there a minimum contract?

No. It's month to month with 30 days' notice.

The one exception is if you choose to pay 12 months upfront to waive the £200 setup fee — that year is what you've bought. After it, you're back to month to month.

What counts as a "change"?

One request, however many small edits it contains. Updating your price list, swapping in new photos, changing your opening hours over Christmas, adding a new service to your list — each of those is one change.

Building a whole new page, or adding a booking system that wasn't there before, isn't a change — that's a piece of work. We'd quote you for it or tell you if moving up a plan works out cheaper.

In practice we're not fussy about the odd extra request. The limit exists so we can promise you a fast turnaround, not to catch you out.

How quickly do changes actually get made?

Starter: within three working days. Standard: within two working days. Premium: next working day.

If something is genuinely broken that gets fixed as a priority on any plan, and it does not count against your changes. By broken we mean your site is down, a page will not load, your contact details or opening hours are wrong, or your enquiry form has stopped working. Anything else — new content, a design tweak, a new offer — is a change.

Do I have to write the content myself?

No. Tell us about your business and we'll write the first draft, then you tell us what to change. Almost everyone finds correcting a draft far easier than starting from a blank page.

Photos are the part where you genuinely help. Real pictures of your premises, your team and your work are the difference between a site that looks like yours and one that looks like anybody's. Phone photos are absolutely fine.

Can I really see it before I pay?

Yes. We build a real, working preview of your own site — not a generic sample — and send you a private link. Look at it on your phone, show your staff, sleep on it.

If you decide not to go ahead, that's genuinely fine. You pay nothing and we part on good terms. We'd rather spend an afternoon on a preview that doesn't convert than talk someone into something they didn't want.

I've already got a website. Can you take it over?

Usually, yes. Tell us where it's hosted and who built it, and we'll tell you honestly whether it's worth rebuilding or just bringing up to date.

If your current site is basically fine and you only need someone to look after it, say so. If that's cheaper for you than a rebuild, we'll tell you.

How long until my site is live?

Your preview is usually ready within a few working days of us getting your details. Once you approve it, going live typically takes another day or two depending on your domain.

The thing that usually holds it up is waiting on photos and details from you — so the quicker you send those, the quicker you're online.

Which plan should I be on?

Mostly it comes down to how often things change. If your prices, services and hours stay much the same for months at a time, Starter is enough. If you're updating a menu, running offers, or adding services through the year, the change allowance on Starter will frustrate you and Standard or Premium will suit you better.

Tell us how your business actually runs day to day and we'll say which one fits — including if that's the cheapest one.

Do you work with businesses outside Maidenhead?

Yes. Everything can be done by phone, email and video call, and plenty of it is. Being local just means we can come and see you if that's easier.

What happens to enquiries that come through my site?

They go straight to you by email — we don't sit in the middle of them. Any customer details submitted through your site are yours.

Still got a question?

Ask it. We'll give you a straight answer, and there's no obligation attached to asking.
